Junior School Service Learning

A Southpointe Graduate understands and fulfils their social and civic responsibilities. In the Junior School, Service Learning is accomplished through participation in student leadership programs and the Junior Citizenship Club where our students serve as ambassadors in the surrounding local community. Comprised of Grade 4 and 5 students, the Junior Citizenship Club volunteers and organizes fundraising activities to benefit local charities. In the past year, for instance, participants solicited local business sponsorships and collected donations in order to make ‘birthday party bags’ for children and families dependent on food bank aid. Service Learning not only benefits our community, but also provides an opportunity for individual growth.
